JULY 1, 2, & 3, 2021: Red Power Round Up in Du Quoin, Illinois
IHCC41 Meeting October 12, 2019
The meeting was called to order by Tyrone Scott.
The minutes from the August Meeting were read. There was one correction. The Cub Cadet will be redone at Turner Ashby High School, not in Pennsylvania. After the correction was noted, a motion was made by Winona Scott to accept the minutes with the correction. It was seconded by Bobby Menefee. The motion carried.
Tyrone gave the Treasurer’s Report. The balance in the checking account is $8901.53. Winona Scott made a motion to accept the report. It was seconded by Mark Tanis. The motion carried.
After Tyrone calculated the sales of the BBQ Sandwiches and pork sold and subtracted the expenses, he said, if his figures were correct, the amount of profit was $850.25.
Roger and Tinker are looking at a mower. They will then see if the Chapter wants to purchase it. They are hoping to find parts.
The Christmas Meeting will be December 8, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. followed by the Christmas Dinner.
It is time to vote for three new Board Members. The terms of Bill Shaver, Berlin Zirk and Roger Baker are up at the end of this year. Both Bill Shaver and Roger Baker said they would run for another term. Dave Rushton said he would be on the ballot for the next term. A vote will be taken at the December Meeting.
There still needs to be a Vice President to be voted on as Tyrone became the President when Tinker resigned the office to run for the National Board. This position will be for one year only.
The IHC Charitable Trust wants to collect money to work on a Farmall B with a cotton picker that is in Alabama. The Board recommended that a vote be taken to donate $500.00 to the Trust with the stipulation that the money would be earmarked for work on the Farmall B with a cotton picker. After discussion, Eddie Bartley made a motion to donate the $500.00 with the stipulation that the money would be earmarked for work on the Farmall B with the cotton picker. Mark Tanis seconded the motion. The motion carried.
There was some discussion about having a table at the Winter Convention in Winston Salem, NC. The Chapter would not sell any items but have information about The McCormick Farm and some memorabilia that could be locked up in cases. If there is an interest in this, there needs to be some discussion about manning the table.
There has been discussion about changing the date of the Summer Show due to conflicts with Red Power dates. There would have to be discussion with the Fairgrounds. The second weekend in July would be a possible alternative date. There will be more discussion after more information is available.
Discussion about the National Auction will continue at the December Meeting after Roger Baker is able to get more information.
As there was no other business, a motion was made by Pope Reed to adjourn. It was seconded by Jerry McDonald. The motion carried.
IHCC41 Business Meeting, August 11, 2019
The meeting was called to order by Tinker Moats.
The minutes of the June Meeting were read. As there were no corrections, a motion was made by Mark Tanis to accept the minutes as read. It was seconded by Becky Seal. The motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Report was given by Jennifer Puffenbarger. The balance in the account is $9651.25. It was also reported that the club had cash sales of $411.00 at Red Power and Relay for Life had cash sales of $569.00 at Red Power. A motion was made by Margaret McDonald to accept the report as given. It was seconded by Dave Rushton. The motion carried.
Old Business: Tinker thanked everyone who participated at Red Power.
Mark Tanis reported that he had a very positive report from a family that attended our Summer Show. The family really enjoyed the show and commented about how nice it was to be able to see such a show at no cost.
Tinker also commented that were a lot of good comments about the show from other people who attended.
At this time we have still been unable to find parts for the mower.
New Business: There will be a Pedal Pull at Luray on Monday, August 19th and one at Somerset on Saturday, September 14th at 10:00 A.M.
The club will have tables at Somerset and Field Days of the Past. The Winter Show will be in the Winston Salem, NC area in February. We need to elect two new Board Members at the October Meeting. The terms of Bill Shaver and Berlin Zirk are up. Bill Shaver said he would be on the ballot again. Also, as Tinker is running for the National Board, he will be stepping down as President of the club. As Tyrone is Vice President, he said he would be on a ballot for President and Mark Tanis said he would consider running for Vice President. This will be taken up at the October Meeting.
The Cub Cadet will be going to Pennsylvania to be redone. BBQ Sandwiches will be pre ordered on October 10th and the sandwiches will be made on October19th.
The club has a new item for sale. It is a reproduction gas gage. The cost is $10.00.
Relay for Life: Becky reported that there would be new hours for the Relay for Life at the fairgrounds. The time will be from 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 2, 2020, until midnight. The auction would start at 2:00 P.M.
McCormick Farm: Tinker, David, and Roger met with the new superintendent for the Farm. He said he wanted to continue things as they had been talked about in the past. McCormack Day is October 5th. Members can help with weekend tours (Saturday and Sunday) as they have done in the past.
Several pieces of equipment at the farm can be redone. There is the possibility of starting the restoration or the Blacksmith Shop.
National Auction is the last weekend of October, 2021. Do we want to consider doing the Auction? We would have to be there on Friday afternoon. The club would get a percentage of the sales but we would have to pay the fairgrounds. Roger Baker and Steve Scott are going to try to get more information. There will be more discussion before a motion is made to do the Auction.
As there was no other business, Jerry McDonald made a motion that we adjourn. It was seconded by Robert Grogg. The motion carried.
The Christmas Meeting will be at the Cross Keys Worship Center on December 8, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. followed by the Christmas Dinner. Please bring a covered dish of your choice.

Hi, I’m Winona Scott.
I would like to take this opportunity to ask for your help to support the club with an item that will be auctioned off at the Summer Show Auction on Saturday.Auction by T Weaver Auctioneering. Your donation to the club will go toward supporting our local community to provide tractor shows & classes to further the knowledge of Engines, Tractors, Trucks, and many other IH-manufactured products from the past. A portion of the auction proceeds each year have been donated to the IH Collector’s for a Cure-Relay for Life Team to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Thank you so much for your support.
