Club Business Meeting – October 12, 2019

IHCC41 Meeting October 12, 2019

The meeting was called to order by Tyrone Scott.

The minutes from the August Meeting were read. There was one correction. The Cub Cadet will be redone at Turner Ashby High School, not in Pennsylvania. After the correction was noted, a motion was made by Winona Scott to accept the minutes with the correction. It was seconded by Bobby Menefee. The motion carried.

Tyrone gave the Treasurer’s Report. The balance in the checking account is $8901.53. Winona Scott made a motion to accept the report. It was seconded by Mark Tanis. The motion carried.

After Tyrone calculated the sales of the BBQ Sandwiches and pork sold and subtracted the expenses, he said, if his figures were correct, the amount of profit was $850.25.

Roger and Tinker are looking at a mower. They will then see if the Chapter wants to purchase it. They are hoping to find parts.

The Christmas Meeting will be December 8, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. followed by the Christmas Dinner.

It is time to vote for three new Board Members. The terms of Bill Shaver, Berlin Zirk and Roger Baker are up at the end of this year. Both Bill Shaver and Roger Baker said they would run for another term. Dave Rushton said he would be on the ballot for the next term. A vote will be taken at the December Meeting.

There still needs to be a Vice President to be voted on as Tyrone became the President when Tinker resigned the office to run for the National Board. This position will be for one year only.

The IHC Charitable Trust wants to collect money to work on a Farmall B with a cotton picker that is in Alabama. The Board recommended that a vote be taken to donate $500.00 to the Trust with the stipulation that the money would be earmarked for work on the Farmall B with a cotton picker. After discussion, Eddie Bartley made a motion to donate the $500.00 with the stipulation that the money would be earmarked for work on the Farmall B with the cotton picker. Mark Tanis seconded the motion. The motion carried.

There was some discussion about having a table at the Winter Convention in Winston Salem, NC. The Chapter would not sell any items but have information about The McCormick Farm and some memorabilia that could be locked up in cases. If there is an interest in this, there needs to be some discussion about manning the table.

There has been discussion about changing the date of the Summer Show due to conflicts with Red Power dates. There would have to be discussion with the Fairgrounds. The second weekend in July would be a possible alternative date. There will be more discussion after more information is available.

Discussion about the National Auction will continue at the December Meeting after Roger Baker is able to get more information.

As there was no other business, a motion was made by Pope Reed to adjourn. It was seconded by Jerry McDonald. The motion carried.
