Summer Show Report: There were 175 exhibits at our Show.
Recommendations for next year’s Show:
1. Close the building at 6:00 P.M.
2. Have a Show Chairman with all committees reporting to the Chairman.
3. Food: Check on possibly adding a food truck . The eating area would be in the upper
area where it was this year.
4. Possibly having tours to the McCormick Farm on Friday and Saturday.
5. Suggested having a church service Sunday morning
The camping for the Show will be $35.00 per night. The club will be responsible for collecting the fees. ALL CAMPING will be in the lower area of the Fairgrounds near the cattle barns.
It was recommended that we get our shirts from the same supplier we used for this year.
The club has a donation of a Cub Cadet, to be restored, from L&M Parts. After restoration, the Cub Cadet would be auctioned off at our Show Auction. This would be an ongoing yearly donation if the club wants to restore one each year. After discussion a motion was made by Steve Kegley to take on this project. It was seconded by Ron Kniceley. The motion carried. The exhibit by members at Farming in the Valley scheduled for October 8 is rescheduled for

October 1.

Tinker reported on a letter that had been sent to all IHC Presidents from the Trustees of the Charitable Trust. It was noted that Chapter 42 of North Carolina had pledged $500.00. Inside Vendors: David Seal asked if anyone had inside vendors. If so, please let him know.
Exhibitors: Due to insurance regulations that exhibitors must be IHC members, there was discussion concerning some exhibitors from last year that had static exhibits. As the Chapter wants to encourage everyone to become a member, David Seal suggested that the Chapter could give the exhibitors, who were sent a letter about the insurance rules, a waiver this year and the Chapter would pay the National Dues for this year only so they could participate in our Show. We hope they will renew their membership and also become a Chapter Member. A motion was made by Tyrone Scott to accept this suggestion. It was seconded by Roger Baker. The motion was approved.
SetUp: The setup will be the same as last year.
Becky Seal suggested that we have a registration table for the items donated for the Auction.
This suggestion was agreed to.
As there was no new business Tinker asked for a motion to adjourn. A motion was made by Becky Seal and seconded by Dennis Carr. The motion was approved.
