Auction Items for Relay are due to us by April 1.

If you would like to donate an item please contact Dave or Becky and we can make arrangements to get your item.

Relay event is Friday May 6 @ 6pm.

This is an all night event. Bring a chair and warm clothes. We would love to see everyone.

Upcoming events for our Team are Weyers Cave Toy show Feb 27.

And River heads toy show at the end of March.

We currently have 25 team members WOW thats is awesome….

Christmas Dinner Meeting:

You and your family are invited to our annual Christmas Dinner. If you know of someone interested in becoming a member, invite them to come along.

Meeting begins at 3:00 p.m. with dinner to follow.
Bring a covered dish.

July 8, 9, & 10, 2016 6th annual IH Collectors of VA show at Rockingham County Fairgrounds  (4808 South Valley Pike; Harrisonburg, VA 22801)

Starting in 2017, our annual show will always be the fourth weekend in June (June 23, 24, & 25, 2017).

We would like to recognize and welcome our new members who joined in 2015:

Trailer Needed:

The Chapter is in need of an enclosed trailer (around a 6×10) for hauling club items to the shows we attend.  If you know of someone who has one to sell at a reasonable price or by chance would donate it to the club, contact Tinker Moats at 540-246-5726.

Volunteers to make sandwiches should arrive at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, at the Cross Keys Worship Center.

Pumpkin Roll Sale – IH Collector’s for a Cure

IH Collector’s For A Cure Relay Team will began pre-selling Pumpkin Rolls October 16 thru November 16.  They will be $10 for plain and $12 with nuts.  Delivery date will be November 23.  If anyone in the club is interested in helping with presales please contact Dave 6307-7450 or Becky 421-3912 to get an order form.  All proceeds will benefit Relay For Life/ACS.

Field Day of the Past Update

We hope to see everyone at the 2015 Field Day of the Past this weekend!

Both the show organizers and property owner are very excited to have our club at the show and have reserved the premier show location for the club! We will be featured at the most popular area of the show and they reserved this spot for us to show together. Please be sure to let them know that you are with the club when you arrive so they can direct you to our show spot. Please be sure to thank the tractor show organizer, who goes by the name of Pope, for making this possible. He is a member of the Chesterfield antique tractor club and is interested in joining and participating in ours.

The owner of the property for this event, Mr. Pruett is so excited we are coming that it is rumored he will invite us to take a private tour of his extensive and rare collection of IHs. I hear he has some very rare IH orchard tractors as well as some implements and IH trucks. In addition, Mr. Pruett decided to include many of his IHs in the show. He will be setup right beside us so there should be plenty of IHs to enjoy!

If you sign up by Sept 30 and have $50 in your Relay bank you will receive a Special “Hope” t-shirt. You can sign up online or you can contact me 421-3912 (Becky) for a paper application. September 11-13, 2015: The Pasture Party (Somerset, VA) hosted by the Somerset Steam & Gas Engine Association.  If you are able to exhibit or help at the table, please contact Jennifer Puffenbarger (540-820-9763) by September 1.  Link:  www.somersetsteamandgas.org/pasture_party.html

September 18-20, 2015: Field Day of the Past (Rockville, VA) hosted by Rockville-Centerville Steam & Gas Historical Association.  Exhibitors will receive passes for the show. They do want us to preregister if we exhibit so they have a rough idea of how much space to set aside for us to setup in.  If you are able to exhibit or help at the table, please contact Jennifer Puffenbarger (540-820-9763).  A printable registration form is linked here clicking here. As a chapter/national member, you have insurance coverage.  I will send them a copy of our certificate of insurance. Hotels are listed on their website www.fielddayofthepast.net under “PLAN YOUR TRIP”.   The organizer recommends The Comfort Suites Innsbrook, 4051 Innslake Dr., Glen Allen, Va.  Phone: 804-217-9200.  Tell them you are coming to Field Day, and how many you have in your group, and they will give you a special rate.

October 3, 2015:  First Annual Plow Day.  Location – Airey Farm; 9094 Waggy’s Creek Road; Dayton, VA  22821.  Begins at 9:00 a.m.  More details to follow.

October 10, 2015:  Pork Tenderloin Sandwich Pre-Sale Fundraiser.  Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches $3.00 each. Call Jennifer, 540-820-9763, by October 5 with presale totals and/or if you can help make sandwiches. October 11, 2015:  Regular Chapter Meeting.  Check back for location and details.
